Chandpur is a district of
Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division. It
was part of greater Comilla District until 1984.
Administration
In December 2011, the Bangladeshi
government appointed Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd.) Abu Osman
Chowdhury, a member of the Bangladesh Awami League, as the
administrator to the Chandpur district council. Md. Ismiel Hossain, the Deputy
Commissioner of the Bangladeshi government's Cabinet Division, is responsible for Chittagong division'sChandpur district.
